Step into Langan’s Brasserie and be immersed in an atmosphere where world-class cuisine meets world-class art. True to the restaurant’s storied cultural legacy, our walls continue to celebrate creativity, diversity and heritage through a carefully curated art collection that enhances the dining experience.
Guests will be surrounded by an evolving display of contemporary works from both emerging and established artists, many sourced from nearby galleries yet representing voices from across the globe. This inclusive and multicultural selection spans a range of races, faiths and genders — offering a vibrant, modern take on Langan’s artistic past.
Our new collection pays tribute to the original spirit of the brasserie — most notably through the presence of pieces by David Hockney, who also designed the original menu and whose portrait of Peter Langan now hangs proudly in the main dining area.
Elsewhere, striking works by Ella Kruglyanskaya and France-Lise McGurn grace the back of our menus, inviting guests to experience art up close as part of their visit.
More than decoration, the collection is rooted in purpose. Born from a philanthropic initiative to support artists and institutions impacted by the effects of COVID-19, it includes contributions from and connections to respected organisations such as South London Gallery, Tate, Camden Arts Centre, Terence Higgins Trust and many more.
Whether you’re seated near the iconic mirror bar or enjoying a long lunch under the gaze of globally celebrated artworks, every visit to Langan’s promises a rich blend of culture, community and visual inspiration.
